Open and edit your page
- On a tablet in Office mode, open Your page. It has three tabs: Page, Button and Domain.
- On Page, choose what to edit along the top: Appearance, Content, Photos, Find us or House rules.
- Fill in the boxes. The preview beside them shows your page as you type, before anything is saved.
- Press Save your page. Everything you changed, in every section, is saved at once.
- Press Open the page to see the page your guests get, in a new tab.
What you can write
Content holds the words of your page, under What your page says:
- Tagline: one line under your name. Description: the text under About on your page.
- Phone, Public email and Website: how guests reach you. They appear under Find us, with your address and directions.
- A note on hours: a short line under your name, beside your phone number.
- Happy hour starts, Happy hour ends and What you call it: a happy hour badge in the same row. It changes nothing about what guests can book.
- Tags: choose from Cuisine, Style, Dietary and In the restaurant, or type your own and press Add. The first two show above your name.
Highlights, links and times
Highlights are short notes shown as a row on your page, each with an icon. Press Add a highlight, give it a Title and an Icon, then press Save: it is on your page at once.
Social links put your accounts in your page's footer. Press Add a link, pick the Network, paste the Link and press Save. The link has to be on the network you picked.
Under How times are written, choose how times appear on your booking page, on the page where guests manage their booking, and in their emails. It is the same choice as in Settings › General.
Writing in more than one language
If your restaurant offers more than one language, The language you are writing in appears at the top of Content. Choose a language and write your page again in it; every box follows that choice, the house rules included.
A box you leave empty in French or Arabic shows guests your English words instead. The preview shows the page in the language you are writing in. Which languages your page offers is chosen from your restaurant’s name at the foot of the side menu, under Booking page languages.
What saves with the button, and what saves by itself
Save your page keeps everything in the editor together: the words, the address, the house rules, your look and how times are written. It can be pressed once something has changed.
Photos are saved the moment they are uploaded, and highlights and social links with their own Save. None of them wait for Save your page.
If you try to leave with changes not saved, the office asks first. If the tablet closed before you saved, your next visit on it offers Restore. If another tablet changed the same box while you were typing, choose Keep mine or Use theirs.
When guests see it
There is no separate publish step: once your plan is active, what you save is what guests see. Before that, the screen shows Not published yet and Go to the plan, and the page goes up when the plan is activated (going live).
A paused plan shows Paused — not taking bookings: guests can still open and read your page, but cannot book from it.
The preview
The box beside the editor is your real page, drawn from what is on screen, saved or not. Booking page and Your button switch between your page and the window your button opens on your website. Mine and ResOlio's switch between your look and the one every page starts with. Three small icons show the page on a computer, a tablet or a phone.
The evening inside the preview's booking form is an example: its times and tables are not yours, and nothing pressed there books a table.
Good to know
- Only a tablet in Office mode can open Your page. A Service tablet is shown a message instead, so the page cannot be changed from the host stand.
- If you run several restaurants, each has its own page: check which restaurant is chosen before you edit.
- Your page has no menu section, and there is nowhere in Your page to add one.
