Tell the kitchen about allergies
- On the form, under Allergies and dietary needs, press Tell the kitchen what to avoid. to open the list.
- Tick each allergen that applies. The list has the fourteen common allergens, from gluten to molluscs.
- For a severe allergy, also tick Severe allergy beside it.
- For anything not on the list, tick Other (please specify) and write it in the box that opens.
Up to eight can be ticked on one booking; write anything more under Anything else?. Your allergies go to the restaurant’s team with the booking.
Access needs
If the restaurant has listed them, Accessibility offers what some of its tables have, such as step-free access, space for a wheelchair, an accessible route or a low-noise spot. Switch a need on with Required. As the form says: We only offer times with a table that meets this.
If a table is already held for you when you switch a need on, the form looks for one that meets it at the same time. If none is free, it says so and you can choose another time. On the times, each one without such a table names the need.
Seating preferences
Under Seating, tap a wish, such as outdoors or a quiet corner, and it is marked If possible. The restaurant tries to give it to you, and it never takes a time away.
To make a wish a condition, tick Must have this under it. As the form says: This may remove some times. Some wishes, such as a table by the window, can be asked for but never required.
The room itself is not yours to pick. To ask for one, write it under Anything else?.
Anything else
Anything else? is a free box of up to 500 characters for whatever else the team should know: a pushchair, a birthday, someone arriving later.
One consent covers both
The required tick on the form covers your booking and your allergies at once: you agree that the restaurant keeps your details to manage the booking, and uses any allergies you add to prepare your meal. There is no second consent to give.
Good to know
- Forgot an allergy? Open your booking from the link in your email and press Edit details to add it. What you have already told the restaurant stays on file; to take something off, call it.
- With a guest account, your saved allergies fill in an empty form, and your saved seating comes back as wishes, never as conditions. Check them when you book for someone else.
- A wish marked If possible is not a promise. A need switched on with Required decides which table can be held for you.
