What the list shows

On an Office tablet, open Settings › Devices. The list shows every tablet in use at this restaurant: its name, What it can do, Last seen and Status. This tablet marks the one in your hands.

Service — the floor runs the service screen and nothing else. Office — everything opens every screen, settings included. Signed-out tablets are hidden; the button under the list shows them.

Rename a tablet or change what it can do

  1. Press Edit on the tablet’s row.
  2. Change its name, and choose Service — the floor or Office — everything.
  3. Press Save.

If the name is already on another tablet here, a number is added to it. A tablet you switch to Service — the floor while holding it leaves the settings at once.

Sign one tablet out for good

  1. Press Revoke on the tablet’s row.
  2. Read what it does, then confirm, or press Leave it signed in.

The tablet is signed out at once, even in the middle of service, and stops receiving alerts. Its bookings and its history stay where they are. To use it again, someone has to sign it in with your restaurant’s login and name it again.

Sign every device out

Sign out everywhere ends every session of your restaurant’s login at once, including on the tablet you are holding. Use it when a tablet has gone missing with the password. Press it, then Sign every device out.

Nothing is deleted and no tablet is revoked: each one only needs the login again, and the names on the list are still there when you sign back in.

The last office tablet

A restaurant always keeps one Office tablet, because only an office tablet can open Settings. On the last one, Revoke is greyed and Service — the floor cannot be chosen. Name another tablet Office first, then change this one.

How many tablets

On Free, your login can be signed in on 2 tablets. A line at the top of this screen reads Tablets in use: … of the 2 your plan includes. The dots are your own figure. Once every one is in use, the line adds: To add another, sign one out here or upgrade.

Starter, Pro and Enterprise have no limit on tablets, so the line is not shown.

Good to know

  • Each restaurant has its own list. A tablet used at two restaurants of one account is named at each of them.
  • Last seen moves on about once an hour, so a tablet in use right now can read up to an hour behind.
  • Sign out everywhere signs out every device of the login, at every restaurant on the account.
