English, French and Arabic
Every part of ResOlio speaks English, French and Arabic: how the office, your booking page, the guest’s switch and the emails each pick a language.

The office’s language
The office speaks the language of its address: /office in English, /fr/office in French and /ar/office in Arabic, right to left. There is no language menu inside the office itself.
- On the office’s sign-in screen, open the language menu at the top: a globe with EN, FR or AR beside it.
- Choose English, Français or العربية. The screen moves to that language’s address.
- Sign in. The office opens in that language; bookmark the address on the tablet so it always opens the same way.
Each tablet can keep its own language: a host stand in Arabic and the owner’s laptop in French run the same restaurant.
Your page and the guest’s choice
Your booking page has a language switch, a globe with EN, FR or AR beside it, and a guest picks English, Français or العربية. Everything the page itself says follows: the form, the dates, the buttons and the messages.
Your own words are written once for each language, in Your page, under The language you are writing in. Where you have not written a language yet, the page shows your English, or another language you did write.
Your restaurant’s language is the one you signed up in. The page address the office gives you carries it, so the guests of a French or Arabic restaurant land in its language. An address with no language in it opens in the guest’s browser language, or in English; when your page does not offer that language, it opens in its default.
Your page’s languages
- Press your restaurant’s name at the foot of the side menu, then Booking page languages. It is there on an office device.
- Under Languages on your page, tick the languages guests can read your page in. One always stays ticked.
- Under Default language, pick the language for a guest who asks for one your page does not offer, then press Save.
Your page’s language menu then lists only those, and a guest who opens an address in another language reads the page, and books, in your default. A booking’s emails are in the language it was made in.
Emails
A guest’s emails are written in the language they booked in: the confirmation, the reminder, and any change or cancellation.
A booking your staff type into the office takes the office’s language, so a booking taken on /fr/office sends its emails in French.
Arabic, right to left
In Arabic, the office, the site and the guest pages run right to left. Numbers stay in Latin digits, 0 to 9, in every language, and names keep their own spelling: your restaurant, your tables, the plans and ResOlio.
The floor map is drawn the way your room stands and is never mirrored; only the words around it turn.
Good to know
- Every plan has all three languages.
- The website and this guide have the same language menu in their header.
- In French and Arabic, the legal pages open with a note that the English version prevails.
