Add your photos

  1. In Your page, open Photos.
  2. Under Hero photo, press Add a photo and pick an image. A landscape picture works best: it runs across the top of your page.
  3. To add more, press Add a photo under Add to the gallery, or drop a photo onto it. Each one goes at the end of the Gallery.
  4. Wait for the line under each new photo to go: Being checked — not on your page yet. This takes a moment; the line goes when it passes.

What guests see

At the top of your page, the hero photo comes first and the gallery's photos follow, in the order you put them. With two or more, they turn by themselves as a slideshow, and hold still while a guest points at them. The corner shows how many there are, such as 2/5, with a small line for each: a guest can swipe through them, and a tap on a photo or on the count opens them full screen.

With one photo, it stands alone, and a tap still opens it full screen. With none at all, your page shows a photograph of a dining room that comes with ResOlio, until you add your own.

Full screen, a guest goes from photo to photo with a swipe or the arrows, and looks closer by zooming in: two fingers or a double tap on a phone, a click or the zoom button on a computer. A zoomed photo can be dragged around.

Order, replace and remove

Each gallery photo has Earlier and Later, which move it one place. Replace puts a new file in the same place; Remove asks you to confirm, then deletes the file.

Photos do not wait for Save your page: each one is saved the moment it is uploaded, moved or removed.

Which files work

JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. The hero photo can be up to 5 MB and each gallery photo up to 3 MB; the screen says so under each button. The gallery holds up to 12 photos.

A file in another format, or too heavy, is refused before it is sent, with the reason and what to pick instead.

Good to know

  • Keep a copy of your photos. Removing one deletes the file, and there is no undo.
  • A new photo is checked before it appears. Until then the office shows it, but your page does not.
  • Your logo is not here: on Pro and Enterprise it is under Appearance, with your colours (your page's look).
