The side menu, with the restaurant menu at its foot.

What it lists

Every screen of the office, in three groups: Tonight, Guests and The house. The screen you are on is lit, and Activity shows how many items are unread.

A row your plan does not include carries the name of the plan that adds it. On a Service tablet, there is no Settings row.

Fold it away

With a mouse, the button beside the ResOlio wordmark folds the menu to icons; on a touch screen, the button at the start of the bar does. Folded, press anywhere on the menu to open it again. On a keyboard, ⌘B on a Mac or Ctrl B on a PC does both.

It also folds by itself when you pick a screen, or change tab inside one — the service screen’s tabs, the settings pages, the tabs of Your page — so the screen gets the room. Each device remembers how you left it.

Folded, resting the mouse on an icon shows its name.

On a phone

On a narrow screen the menu is hidden. Press the button at the start of the bar: it slides in over the screen, and closes as soon as you pick a row.

The restaurant menu

At the foot of the side menu is your restaurant’s name, with Page live or Page not live under it: the dot is green when your page is live, grey when it is not. Press it to open the restaurant menu:

  • Restaurant: when your account has more than one restaurant, each one with its local time and its state, such as Live or Paused. Pick one to switch to it; a device not yet set up there asks first.
  • Closed: the restaurants you archived. Switch to one to reopen it in Settings › Restaurants.
  • View public page: your booking page, in a new tab. Before your plan is first activated, it reads Public page — not up yet.
  • Booking page languages: the languages your booking page offers guests, and its default. Office devices only.
  • Signed in as: the restaurant’s login, then this device’s name and mode.

Support

Support, in the same menu, opens a chat with us on Pro and Enterprise, from any device; on other plans it gives our email address. While an answer is unread, a turquoise dot sits on your restaurant’s initial, and the number of answers beside Support. Chat with us says more.

This device’s rows

  • Alerts on this device: whether this device buzzes for new activity. Each device chooses for itself, and the row shows only where the browser can receive alerts.
  • Devices signed in: every device signed in to your restaurant, in Settings › Devices. Office devices only.
  • Sign out of this device: signs out this device only.
  • Appearance and Clock: how this device looks, and how it writes times. Neither changes anything on the restaurant’s other devices or for its guests.

Good to know

  • The green or grey dot is about your page, not about this device: it does not say whether the tablet is online. Reconnecting on the bar does.
  • Switching restaurant or signing out with unsaved changes on the screen asks you first what to do with them.
  • Choosing the clock here changes this device only. The way the restaurant writes times, which its guests’ emails follow, is in Settings › General.
