How to book
- Open the restaurant’s booking page, or press the booking button on its own website: both open the same form.
- In the bar at the top, press Guests to say how many you are, and Date to pick a day. A day marked Full or Closed cannot be booked.
- Tap a time. The table is held for you at once, and the form for your details opens.
- Fill in Full name, Email and Phone. Add anything the team should know under Anything else?, and any allergies under Allergies and dietary needs.
- Tick the consent line, then press Confirm booking.
The table held for you
From the moment you tap a time, nobody else can take that table. The top of the form says Table held, with a countdown of the few minutes the restaurant gives you to finish.
In the last minute, Keep my table gives you more time, up to half an hour from when the table was first held. If the countdown ends, the form tries to hold the same table again and keeps everything you typed. If the table has been taken, choose another time.
Going back to the times, or leaving the page, gives the table back to other guests.
Your details
Full name, Email and Phone are required, and each is marked with an asterisk. Your confirmation and the private link to your booking go to that email. The phone number lets the restaurant reach you if it must.
The phone box starts with the restaurant’s country code. If your number is from another country, choose yours from the list.
Apart from these three and the consent tick, everything on the form is optional.
Needs and preferences
If the restaurant has set them up, the form also asks about seating. A need under Accessibility, such as step-free access, is switched on with Required: the table you hold must meet it. A wish under Seating, such as a table by the window, is If possible, and never takes a time away from you.
Some wishes can be made firm with Must have this, which may remove some times. More in allergies and needs.
You do not choose the room: the restaurant places you. The summary shows the area of the table held for you, or Any table. To ask for somewhere in particular, write it under Anything else?.
Agree and confirm
Above the button, one line gives the restaurant’s rules for cancelling and changing online. If it has house rules, confirming means you agree to them, and the form shows you where to read them.
One tick is required: you agree that the restaurant keeps your details to manage the booking, and uses any allergies you add to prepare your meal. Privacy, beside it, opens the privacy notice. The tick for news from the restaurant is optional.
Press Confirm booking. The screen shows when you are expected and your booking reference, and the confirmation email follows: see your confirmation.
Good to know
- No account is needed to book, and the form never asks for a card.
- The party sizes on offer stop at the largest party the restaurant takes online. For a bigger group, the form gives the restaurant’s number when it has one.
- When a day is full, Other dates available under the times shows the next days with a time free. Some restaurants also let you ask to be told when a table opens: see table alerts.
