Choose your look

  1. In Your page, open Appearance.
  2. Under Your mark, press Add a photo and pick your logo: it takes the place of your name in the bar at the top of your page.
  3. Under Branding, pick a Palette, or set your own Brand colour: the page's other colours are worked out from it.
  4. Adjust the rest if you wish: Accent colour, Header, Header text, Footer, Corners and Typography.
  5. Watch the preview, then press Save your page.

What each control changes

  • Brand colour: the buttons, the links and the time a guest picks.
  • Accent colour: the small touches, such as section headings. Follow my brand colour hands them back to your brand colour.
  • Header and Footer: the bands at the top and the bottom of your page. Match my logo and Plain take them back.
  • Header text: appears once the header has a colour, and is chosen for you, black or white, whichever reads better. Choose it for me goes back to that.
  • Corners: Sharp, Soft or Rounded, for buttons and cards.
  • Typography: a pair of typefaces, one for headings and one for the rest, or System fonts, the guest's own.

Where your look appears

Your colour, your type and your corners are used on your page and in the window your button opens on your website.

The preview shows them before they are saved. Mine and ResOlio's switch between your look and ResOlio's.

On which plans

Pro and Enterprise have every control above. On Free and Starter, Appearance shows this instead: Custom branding is part of Pro. Your page then wears ResOlio's look, and your name, your words and your photos are still yours. There is no logo either: the bar at the top shows your name. Compare the plans shows what each plan includes.

When a colour is refused

Some colours are too faint to read on white. When that happens, the screen lists what is too close, the preview says it is not what guests are served, and the save is refused until you fix it. A deeper shade of your colour usually does it; the ready-made palettes always pass.

Going back to the standard look

Use ResOlio's look puts your colours, your type and your corners back to ResOlio's, after asking, and saves at once; your logo stays. There is no undo: you would have to choose them again. Keep my look leaves everything as it is.

Good to know

  • Your page has no dark version: guests get the light one, whatever their phone is set to.
  • In a group, each restaurant has its own look, set on its own page.
  • Save your page is also at the foot of Appearance, so there is no need to scroll back up.
