What opens your page
Your booking page takes bookings once three things are true:
- Your plan is active. The sign-up’s plan step does it: on Free at once, even while we switch on a paid plan you asked for.
- Your floor has at least one table guests can book online.
- You have at least one service: the days and the hours you take bookings.
Your staff do not have to wait: New booking takes bookings in the office whatever the page’s state.
Your plan
If you left the sign-up before choosing a plan, nothing is public yet. Open Settings › Plan and press Activate the plan. Until you do, your page’s address shows only this: This booking page isn’t here.
Beside that button, the screen says: We confirm the details with you before anything is charged.
A table and a service
An active plan opens the page, but with no table guests can book online, or no service, there is nothing to offer. The booking form is then replaced by this note: This restaurant isn't taking online bookings right now. Contact the restaurant to book.
Add tables in Settings › Floor and a service in Settings › Services. The form comes back as soon as both are there.
Where the office shows it
- At the foot of the side menu, under your restaurant’s name: Page live with a green dot, or Page not live with a grey one.
- On the Settings front page, the setup list: Add your tables, Say when you serve, Set your address, Go live, Choose where guests’ replies go and Take your first booking, each a link to the screen that does it. It goes away once all six are done; until then, the next one also shows on a line under the bar.
- In Settings › Restaurants, each restaurant’s state: Taking bookings, No table to book online, No service set yet, Not open yet or Paused.
Pausing the page
Pause the plan, in Settings › Plan, stops new bookings on your page. The bookings already made, your tables, your guests and your history all stay, and the page still opens, with the note above.
To take bookings again, press Activate the plan on the same screen, or open the line under the bar and press Restart the plan.
Good to know
- The green dot follows your page. A restaurant with an active plan but no table or no service shows Page not live, and Settings › Restaurants says which is missing.
- Only an Office device can activate or pause the plan.
- The setup list is about one restaurant: in a group, each restaurant has its own.
