How we compared

We read SevenRooms’s pricing page and home page on 16 October 2026. Its three plans are sold by quote, so SevenRooms publishes no price. The only monthly figure we found is Software Advice’s listing, from $499 a month. We turned it into euros at the European Central Bank’s rate of that day: about €443.

ResOlio wrote this article, so read it as our own comparison. Every SevenRooms fact comes from SevenRooms’s own pages, or from Software Advice where we say so, with the day we read it. Its language list comes from a SevenRooms post of February 2021, and we say that too.

What it costs at your volume

Neither charges per cover, so the difference is where the bill starts: €59 a month on ResOlio Plus, with nothing to set up and nothing to wait for, against a quote from about €443 a month as listed, plus a setup fee. See every plan.

A month at 100, 500 and 1,500 covers: SevenRooms’s listed “from” price beside ResOlio’s flat price. Neither changes with your covers. SevenRooms: from $499 a month as listed on softwareadvice.com, read 16 October 2026, in euros at the ECB rate of that day (1 EUR = 1.1253 USD); sevenrooms.com prices by quote and charges no reservation fees.

The SevenRooms line is a third party’s “from” price, turned into euros. A quote may differ, and the setup fee is not included, because its amount is not published. On ResOlio, a plan counts bookings, not covers: at two or three guests a table, 1,500 covers is 500 to 750 bookings, inside Plus’s 1,500 a month.

As a month fills from 100 to 1,500 covers, a fee per cover grows while ResOlio Plus stays at €59.

Set it up yourself, or by chatting with Olio

You sign up, add your hours, your tables and your page, and go live when you are ready. Nothing is public before, and you pay nothing until you go live. From Starter, the owner can set the restaurant up by chatting with Olio instead: the days and hours, the tables, how guests book and the page. Each change comes as a card, and nothing changes until you tap.

English, French and Arabic, for guests and staff

Every plan speaks three languages: the dashboard, your booking page and your guests’ emails. Arabic runs right to left, and the floor map is never mirrored. A guest picks their language on your page, and every email about their booking follows it. Your own words, such as your house rules, are written once for each language. See the booking page.

Olio takes bookings on WhatsApp

Olio is included in the plan. On Plus, guests book a table by writing to Olio on WhatsApp, in English, French or Arabic. Olio offers only the times you really have free, nothing is booked until the guest taps, and it never takes a card. A question it cannot answer waits for your team in the dashboard. From Starter, Olio also books guests on your page. Meet Olio.

The night on one screen

Every plan has the service screen: the guestlist, the floor map and the calendar, live on every tablet. A booking made online lands on each tablet as it arrives, and two devices can never sell the same table. An allergy a guest declares while booking reaches your host on every plan, even Free. Who ResOlio is for

  • An owner who wants to start today, alone, at a price on the page.
  • A restaurant that wants no setup fee and no quote to wait for.
  • A team, or guests, who read French or Arabic.
  • A restaurant whose guests would rather book on WhatsApp.
  • A group of restaurants: Enterprise puts every restaurant on one dashboard, at a price agreed with you. Compare the three ways to take a booking.

Switching from SevenRooms

You can set everything up before you pay, and run both books until you are ready.

  1. Set up your restaurant

Add your hours, your tables and your booking page, or ask Olio to do it with you. Nothing is public until you go live.

  2. Bring your guests and future bookings

On Pro, import them from a CSV file. You see what would be added, merged or refused before anything is saved.

  3. Run both books

Your staff take bookings in ResOlio while your page stays closed.

  4. Go live

One switch puts your page and your embed live. Then change the booking link on your website.

Before you leave, ask SevenRooms how to export your guest profiles and what notice your agreement asks for: its pricing page does not say. Bookings already taken there stay valid: honour them on the night, or bring them across with the import on Pro. Switch to ResOlio.
