How we compared

We read OpenTable’s plans page for Ireland on 16 October 2026, because it prices in euros. We set its entry plan, Core, against ResOlio’s plans, a month against a month, in euros.

ResOlio wrote this article, so read it as our own comparison. Every OpenTable figure comes from OpenTable’s own page, with the day we read it, and the sources are listed at the end. Where we found nothing, the table says so.

What it costs at your volume

On ResOlio, your bill is your plan, whatever the covers: €59 a month on Plus, for up to 1,500 bookings. OpenTable’s bill has two parts: €169 a month for Core, and €1.50 for each diner who found you through its network. See every plan.

A month at 100, 500 and 1,500 covers, each counted as an OpenTable network cover, beside ResOlio’s flat price. OpenTable: as published on opentable.ie, read 16 October 2026.

The sums count every cover as a network cover, as the chart on our home page does. A diner who books on your own website, by phone or walks in costs nothing extra on Core, so OpenTable’s real bill sits between €169 and the sum shown. On ResOlio, a plan counts bookings, not covers: at two or three guests a table, 1,500 covers is 500 to 750 bookings, inside Plus’s 1,500 a month.

As a month fills from 100 to 1,500 covers, a fee per cover grows while ResOlio Plus stays at €59.

Where ResOlio is different

One flat price, and no contract on a monthly plan

Each plan has one price, and it does not move with your covers. A full Saturday costs the same as a quiet Tuesday. Free takes up to 50 bookings a month, Starter 500, Plus 1,500, and Pro has no limit. Pay monthly and there is no contract. Pay yearly and a month costs less: €32 on Starter, €47 on Plus, €79 on Pro.

What a fee per cover would cost.

Marketplaces charge for every guest who books through them, €1.50 a cover on OpenTable; Plus costs the same however busy the month.

Guests never pay

No deposit, no card at booking and no no-show fee. Your plan is the only charge anywhere. To keep no-shows down, reminders from Starter ask guests to confirm in one tap, and on Pro a table nobody confirmed can be released. See the booking page.

Your booking page, as a guest sees it. It never asks for a card.

English, French and Arabic

Every plan speaks three languages: the dashboard, your booking page and your guests’ emails. Arabic runs right to left. Each tablet keeps its own language, so a host stand in Arabic and an owner’s laptop in French run the same restaurant. Your own words, such as your house rules, are written once for each language.

Olio, on your page and on WhatsApp

Olio is ResOlio’s AI host, included in the plan. From Starter, it books guests on your page and helps your team in the dashboard. On Plus, guests book by writing to Olio on WhatsApp, in English, French or Arabic. It offers only the times you really have, and nothing is booked until the guest taps. In the dashboard, your team can ask who is still due tonight, or tell Olio to move a booking; nothing changes until someone taps. Meet Olio.

Your guest book stays yours

A guest who books with you is your guest, on your own page. On Pro, the guest book keeps each guest’s visits, tags, dietary history and no-shows, and you can export the whole list. It is never sold or shared. An allergy a guest declares while booking reaches your host on every plan, even Free. See the guest book.

Who ResOlio is for

  • A restaurant whose guests already find it: on its website, Instagram, Google Maps or by word of mouth.
  • An owner who wants one price that stays the same on a full night.
  • A team, or guests, who read French or Arabic.
  • A restaurant whose guests would rather book on WhatsApp.
  • An owner who wants to start free and set everything up before paying. Compare the three ways to take a booking.

Switching from OpenTable

You can set everything up before you pay, and run both books until you are ready.

  1. Set up your restaurant

Add your hours, your tables and your booking page. Nothing is public until you go live.

  2. Bring your guests and future bookings

On Pro, import them from a CSV file. You see what would be added, merged or refused before anything is saved.

  3. Run both books

Your staff take bookings in ResOlio while your page stays closed.

  4. Go live

One switch puts your page and your embed live. Then change the booking link on your website.

Before you leave, ask OpenTable how to export your guests, and check your renewal date: its standard contract renews each year, and notice is due 30 days before. Bookings already taken there stay valid: honour them on the night, or bring them across with the import on Pro. Switch to ResOlio.
